A delicious but simple spritz enhanced with muddled basil and cucumber with an elderflower liqueur and prosecco! The perfect drink for brunch or a pre dinner cocktail.
Combine elderflower liqueur with cucumbers and basil in a shaker. Muddle the cucumber into a pulp.
Fill a wine glass with ice. Strain the muddled liquid into the glass. Fill the glass with prosecco then top with club soda. Stir to combine. Garnish with a cucumber and basil leaf.
Notes
Do not shake this drink. Not only will the prosecco make your cocktail shaker explode it will also significantly change the flavor of the prosecco.
When serving, place a basil leaf flat in your hand and smack it to release its aroma. Garnish your drink with this basil leaf for a delicious basil forward aroma when drinking.
